Winner Casino Review

Terrible online casino that I suggest avoiding.

Back in the day, Winner Casino often ranked highly at online casino review websites, and it was regarded by many as one of the best online casinos in the world. However, it’s now seen as a rogue casino by many, and this is why it’s currently ranked at #29 here on TopCasino. I first signed up years ago, and I did play regularly up until a point, but you probably won’t ever see me playing here again.

Winner Casino is powered by downloadable and non-downloadable Playtech software, and there are more than 350 games to explore. New players can get up to C$450 in free bonus cash on their first ever deposit, but I wouldn’t recommend it. The customer service has a fairly bad reputation, and the casino operator has been involved in some dodgy dealings in the past, which I won’t go into too much detail about.

However, in more recent times the operator, Zirconium Gaming Limited, has made some notable improvements and is more transparent than ever before, but I still won’t play here because there are far better places to play. Find out here exactly why I’ve decided to rank this casino #29 out of 30+ online casinos that I’ve reviewed for you on TopCasino.

Pros of Playing at Winner Casino

As I mentioned above, the casino has improved in more recent times, and it’s trying hard to shake off the negative image it has. Here are a couple of the most obvious upsides to the casino that I’ve found.

1. Powered by industry-award-winning Playtech software

Winner Casino is powered by downloadable and non-downloadable Playtech software and there are more than 350 popular games available here. You can also find a cutting edge live dealer casino which is also powered by Playtech.

2. Accepts a variety of Canadian online payment options and has low bonus wagering requirements

There are plenty of popular Canadian online casino deposit and withdrawal options available here. I also found that the wagering requirements on most deposit bonuses are just 10x times the bonus amount – some of the lowest wagering requirements I’ve ever found. However, the extremely low wagering requirements only seem to make me even more suspicious about the casino.

Cons of Playing at Winner Casino

Winner Casino still has a bad reputation and here are some of the main reasons why I don’t play at this casino. You should consider these downsides before attempting to sign up to Winner Casino.

1. Occasinally it seems to take a longer than normal time to process withdrawals

While most of the time the deposits are processed really quickly and the withdrawal times are occasionally fast, more often than not, players have reported slow withdrawal times. There’s nothing worse than having to wait too long to get your hands on your money, and it doesn’t seem to matter which withdrawal method you use. They can also be just as slow as each other.

2. No toll-free telephone support for Canadian and Live Chat sometimes non-responsive

Canadian players don’t have access to toll-free telephone support at Winner Casino, and although there is a live chat feature, it’s sometimes unresponsive. I’ve asked them several questions about the casino, and sometimes they haven’t been able to help me, or the information they provided me with later turned out to be wrong.

3. Only has games from Playtech

Playtech is one of my favourite online casino software providers, and this is why I originally signed up here. There are lots of Canadian accepting online casinos out there today that have games from 30 or more individual providers, so it would be nice to see a few more games arriving here from the likes of NetEnt or Microgaming.

4. This casino seems to have received a huge number of complaints and is still blacklisted on many review sites

The more I look, the more negative reviews I seem to find about Winner Casino, so I’m glad I don’t play here. All it takes is a quick search to find complaints and other negative stories about the casino. However, some of these complaints are several years old now, and things seem to have changed for the better over the past couple of years.

5. Players have to deposit at least C$40 on their first ever deposit

At most of the top Canadian accepting online casinos that I’ve reviewed for you, the minimum deposit is generally just C$20, but often as low as C$10. It states in the Winner Casino T’s and C’s that the minimum deposit required (at least on your first deposit) is C$40.

Do I Recommend Winner Casino?

No. I wouldn’t recommend Winner Casino when there are more than 25 other top-rated Canadian friendly online casinos out there? Just go and take a quick look at our top 10 which has more info about a carefully selected list of online casinos that are far better than Winner Casino in many ways. I would never recommend signing up to an online casino that I don’t play at regularly, and I never play here. It doesn’t look as though Winner Casino, which is currently ranked at #29 here on TopCasino, will be climbing up the ranking positions any time soon.
